Original and very good condition. This rifle rates around 90 – 95% original blue finish and is marked I.G. Model 71/84. Minor surface patina around the bolt and chamber assembly. It is serial number 6887. Spandau Arsenal and dated 1888. It is all matching numbers including the screws, barrel bands and sling swivels.

The mechanical function is excellent, crisp and tight. The bore has good rifling with corrosion and rates about 5 of 10. The wood rates over 90% and only one or two little dings. Minor crack near the bottom at the butt stock, but hardly noticeable. Imperial stamped throughout.
